AvSec International Incorporated mission is to preserve and promote the security and safety of the civil aviation system in the prevention of criminal acts. The primary goals are to provide technical assistance and training to States that will maintain and sustain their security systems using a common sense approach. This is a simplified and organized approach in resolving complex implementation issues in aviation security. These skill enhancements will benefit specialists implementing these measures of legitimate governments, air carriers, airports and other entities worldwide.
In 1985, David Flores joined the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a Civil Aviation Security Inspector/Federal Air Marshal and was part of an elite team of aviation security experts to prevent and deter criminal acts against civil aviation throughout the world.
He was inspired by his mentor, the late David C. Leach, Manager, FAA Civil Aviation Security Liaison Staff (ACS-30), and was also a decorated Vietnam war-veteran. Mr. Leach served 33 years with the FAA Office of Civil Aviation Security. He was a world-renowned aviation security pioneer and believed in "A Common Sense Approach to Aviation Security". He set a foundation to simplify the aviation security standards that are complex in nature.
David Flores is passionate in assisting other aviation security specialists by sharing his experience to enhance their security skills. He has currently visited 65 countries, served 32 years of public service, 25 which were in the field of international aviation security. David later retired from the U.S. government after a successful career in international aviation security and proudly served with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO - United Nations) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
AvSec International, "A Common Sense Approach to Aviation Security", was founded in September of 2011 in pursuit of David's passion.
Our core values are Honesty, Integrity, Professionalism, and Camaraderie.
"Go Forth, Do Good"
